I help students and parents in Perth achieve their piano goals—whether for exams or leisure—without the frustration of inconsistent progress.
I have 15 years of experience teaching both children and adults
Certified by Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and Australian Music Examinations Board
Hello, I am Meishi! I’m a piano teacher currently based in Perth, and I’m here to guide you or your child through a meaningful and enjoyable musical journey. My love for music has always been at the core of who I am. Playing the piano has not only allowed me to express my emotions without words but also provided me with a sense of peace and self-reflection. It’s this joy and fulfillment that I hope to share with my students every time they sit at the piano.
I hold both ABRSM and AMEB Grade 8 qualifications in practical and theory, and I’ve dedicated over 15 years to teaching piano in a variety of settings—music schools, private lessons, and even classrooms for kindergartens and secondary schools.
My experience has given me the privilege of working with students of all ages and skill levels, and I’m often told that my calming presence helps them feel at ease. Whether it’s a child taking their first steps into music or an adult reigniting their passion for playing, I strive to ensure each student feels supported, valued, and motivated.
My approach to teaching is tailored to the needs of every individual.
To ensure success, I work closely with parents to align lesson goals with the student’s unique aspirations. Together, we create a path that encourages steady progress and shared pride in their achievements.
Above all, I want my students to walk away with more than just technical knowledge of the piano.
My hope is for them to build resilience, patience, and an unwavering love for music that becomes a lifelong companion. Whether they’re playing for fun, preparing for exams, or dreaming of making music their career, my ultimate goal is to empower them to play the songs they love and find their own sense of serenity and joy through piano.
I would love to be a part of your musical story. Are you ready to begin this rewarding experience together?
I’d love to hear from you and help you take that first step!

'' After we moved away from Singapore I had to look for a new teacher and I was always a little bit “scared” during class. With Meishi I enjoyed class. ''

'' I am now a professional producer and sound engineer, and I run my own music studio. I honestly believe I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the encouragement from those who taught me, like Meishi. ''

'' Meishi taught my three sons and me for 6 years while we lived in Singapore. Not only to play the piano but also music theory. She is a wonderful performer, a kind and patient teacher, her explanations are very clear. ''
